I hope they call me on a Mission!

I never thought this day would come but it is offical, my little brother is now a Missionary. We dropped him off at the MTC yesterday. He leaves on August 27th to go to the Washington D.C. north mission and I am so excited for him. It is so crazy to watch him grow up and I am so proud of him. It was a little hard yesterday though to say goodbye. He is the first and only boy in the family and my little sisters were taking it pretty hard too but it was good and I am am just happy that he made the choice to serve and that he is worthy to go! I will miss him a lot but know that he is doing what the Lord would have him do and he will be blessed for his obedience. Way to go Elder Poulson!!!

A new Look!!!

So I decided that it was time to change the look of our blog so you will have to let me know what you think!

Family Photos!

Well, my little brother is leaving for his mission to Washington D.C. on Wednesday so my family decided that we better get some updated photos before he leaves. We decided to go down to the temple grounds for the pictures and we actually got some great shots. My Dad or Mom just took the photos of our family and a lady in my parents ward took the whole group shot. I did the ones of Garrett. I think for being non-professional they turned out pretty good. Here are some of my favorite shots!

Memory Game (feel free to join in)

Here are the directions: 1. As you comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! 2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

My Friend Missy had this on her blog... it sounded fun.

Happy 4th!!!!

We had a wonderful 4th of July, spent together as a family. Chad was really excited about his new car and foun out that there was a car show on the 4th up in Driggs, ID, so we found a trailer that we could borrow (since the car doesn't have an engine yet) and took the car up to Driggs. When we got there, there weren't very many people there yet but we thought it was still early and unloaded the car and got the canopy set up. We stayed for a few hours and still no one had showed up. We were a bit surprised and so were the other people there. They said that last year they had a great turn out but not this year. So a few hours later we decided no one else was coming and packed up the car and headed for home because we wanted to make the fireworks in Idaho Falls. Despite the fact that there were not many people there at the car show we had fun. Chad got to talk to a few really big car guys that were really interested in his car and we got to have a nice drive to and from Driggs.
After we got back to IF we got the car unloaded with the help of my dad and took the trailer back (Thanks Ben and Holli) and then headed down to the fireworks. Garrett loved them, he would stare and point. He even clapped a few times, he wasn't scared at all.
It was a great day, making memories together!
Sorry the picture was the only one we got the whole day, I can't believe it, I should have taken more pictures. It was also the least blurry picture we could get at the fireworks)

One year older and Wiser too!

My little boy is now 1 years old. His birthday was on July 1st, I can hardly believe how fast time has gone by! He is getting so big and so much more animated, it is so much fun to watch him grow and progress into a little boy. I can't wait to see what the next year will bring.
For his birthday we decided to just keep it simple and have a family BBQ (Thanks so much to the Aiekles for letting us borrow their grill). We had a great time eating food and opening presents but it really wore Garrett out. After dinner we came inside to have cake and ice cream and sing. Well wouldn't you know Garrett was just too tired. He fell asleep on my lap and we didn't even get to do the cake and ice cream. So we decided to let everyone have a piece of cake and ice cream but leave the candle in place so that we could sing to him later. We still haven't had the chance to sing to him so when we do I will post those pictures but for now here are pictures from the rest of the party!
