26 years ago today....

This Handsome Guy was BORN!!!!!
And we are so glad that he was.
Chad is such a wonderful husband and always loves me no matter what.  And that is saying a lot because sometimes I can be a pain. :)
I am so grateful for the wonderful father that he is to our boys.  Chad is a great example to them of a worthy priesthood holder.
I love to watch how tender and kind he is to our children.  They love when he comes home and gives them a big hug and reads them a story or wrestles with them.  Garrett loves to get horsey rides from his daddy!!!
Chad is such a good provider for our family.  He worked hard in school so that he could get a good job and take care of us.  I am so grateful that he makes it possible for me to stay home with our 2 sweet boys.
And who can resist his goofy side.  He can always make me laugh and just loves to torment me and our kids.  There is always lots of giggling when he gets home!
And of course his love of cars makes him very handy when it comes to things needing to be fixed.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!  We love you so much and hope you know how important you are to us.  Have a wonderful day and never forget how awesome you are :)!!!!

Better late than never!

Okay so my birthday was over a week ago, January 4th to be exact and I thought that I should share a little bit about my day.  The day before Chad wanted to take me out shopping so that I could pick out my present.  We went to Ross to see if I could find any clothes and to my luck Chad found these great barstools.  He knew that I had been wanting some for a long time and so we got them.  I love having them, who would have thought that someday I would be so excited about some barstools for my house?!?!?!  Then when we got home we got ready to go swimming with my family.  It was fun except Garrett was petrified of the water and clung to us the whole time.  He started to warm up a little at the end.  Daniel loved it and was calm and happy the whole time.  Then on Sunday, we went over to my parents house to have dinner.  My dad had to cook since my mom was out of town and I must say he did a great job.  We then had cookies and ice cream (I am not a big cake person).  All in all it was a great weekend.  I felt very loved and am now one year old.  Anyone want to guess how old I am????

Let's see What I can get done!

Like the title says we will see what I can get posted before Garrett drives me crazy trying to touch the computer.  A lot has happened since I last posted.  We have traveled to and from Seattle for Christmas, celebrated New Year's, and had my birthday.

I will start with Christmas.  We left on Saturday, December 20th and flew to Seattle.  They weren't sure if we would be able to land in Seattle though because of all of the snow.  But luckily we landed, which is really good because when you have two small children you want everything to go accourding to plan.  When we landed in Seattle Chad's dad and sister, Whitney were there to get us from the airport.  We couldn't wait to get to their home and settle down alittle.  Garrett was very done with traveling and for much of the ride was screaming and mad.  I knew he was just tired and needed some food.  When we got their Chad's mom had made us a wonderful meal (so glad to have good food at the end of traveling).  We then just got the kids to bed and enjoyed one anothers company.

Church was canceled the next day on  account of the large amount of snow Seattle recieved.   They got so much snow, my in-laws say that the angels must love me because I wanted a white Christmas so bad that they gave me one, even in Seattle.

Monday Chad and I had some shopping to complete so we ventured out with his Dad, Whitney and, Mary.  Luckily they have a new Toyota Tundra so we were able to get around a lot easier than most people.  You see in Seattle when it snows it is crazy there.  They don't get snow much so they aren't as prepared to clear it and it is much heavier and wetter snow.

Tuesday Chad and I went on a date to P.F. Changs (my first time)  and then to a movie.  It was so nice to be able to leave the boys and not worry about them.  His mom is amazing and takes such good care of the boys and us.  She even took both boys at night for the first few nights.  If that doesn't make you an angel I don't know what does.

Wednesday was Christmas eve and we spent the day cooking and getting ready for Christmas.  We had a delicious meal of Turkey, mashed potatos, gravy, peas, and stuffing.  We then told the Christmas story from memory.  We each took a turn telling part of the story and then we all opened up a present.  We got PJ's.

Christmas we woke up around 6:30 or 7:00 and unwrapped all of our presents.  We had a great Christmas and got very spoiled.  Chad's mom finished a quilt for our bed that is just beautiful and his parents gave us a digital photo frame.  Those were just two of the biggest gifts but we got a ton more.  Chad gave me some lotion and a new sweatshirt (which I love).  Garrett got a train and some ABC flash cards.  Daniel got a elephant rattle and a book to put pictures in.
We then spent the rest of the day just being lazy and playing the new Wii game his brother got.

On Friday we went shopping again.  Chad stayed home with the boys and I went out with is mom and dad and Whitney and Mary.  What a blast even though the traffic was crazy.  Chad was such a good sport since we were gone for like 5 hours and Garrett was a bit fussy because he was teething the whole time we were in Seattle.
That night we also went to see his friends Jason and Cindi and their little girl Alara.  That was a lot of fun because we haven't seen them forever.  Again thanks Karen for watching the boys so much for us.

Saturday Chad's Grandma and Grandpa Hanson came over for just a bit and we enjoyed a nice visit with them then me and Chad went out again and got Korean food.  Chad can't get that here so whenever we are somewhere that he can get it we do.

Sunday we went to church where Jacob and Whitney sang with the youth and Mary played the harp.  We also got to see some of the people Chad grew up with.

Monday we had to get ready to leave and that was very sad.  We didn't want to leave and wished that we could live closer to both of our families.

Oh yeah, on a side note me and his mom kicked the boys (chad and his dad) bums in pinnochle.  That is the king family game and we can hardly ever win.  But we did and we didn't cheat either :)!!!
